Dual MgO Thermocouple – TXW Model

Today we take a closer look at the TXW thermocouple model, an advanced solution available from Mit.D.

What is the TXW thermocouple?

The TXW is a dual thermocouple with magnesium oxide (MgO) insulation, featuring a fixed extension and a robust design. This configuration is especially suitable for applications requiring accurate and stable temperature readings, thanks also to the integrated skin point.

Technical features and customization

One of the key strengths of this model is its high level of flexibility, allowing it to be tailored to different process requirements:

  • Calibration: Available in Type K (Cr-Al) and Type N (NiCrSil-NiSil).
  • Accuracy: Different accuracy classes are available, including IEC 60584 (Class 1 and 2), ASTM E230, and AMS 2750 standards.
  • Dimensions: The sheath is available in diameters of 3 mm, 4.5 mm, or 6 mm, with customizable probe lengths (Lg1 and Lg2).
  • Connection options: Several connection heads are available (such as DIN-B, DIN-A, or MIGNON), along with output configurations including flying leads, ceramic terminal block, or integrated transmitter solutions.

Safety in critical environments

For industries operating in potentially explosive atmospheres, the TXW thermocouple is also available with ATEX certification.
