D.’s XLD cartridge heaters have been specifically designed to meet this need, offering a versatile solution for the most demanding applications.

Multi-zone structure for tailored heat distribution

The distinguishing feature of the XLD series is its internal structure, consisting of 2 or 3 zones. Each zone corresponds to a coil of equal dimensions but with a different power rating. Thanks to the independent power supply of each zone, it is possible to achieve optimized and targeted heat distribution, allowing precise and differentiated temperature management across the heated areas.

Available models: XLD2D, XLD2I, and XLD3D

Depending on the specific application requirements, the XLD series is available in three different configurations:

XLD2D

Consists of 2 dependent zones with different power outputs. Wiring is simplified with a total of 3 outgoing leads (one for each zone plus one common wire).

XLD2I

This version features 2 completely independent zones. In this case, there are 4 outgoing leads (two for each zone), ensuring maximum control flexibility and independent management.

XLD3D

Designed for applications requiring three heating zones, this model includes 3 dependent zones with 4 outgoing leads (one for each zone plus one common wire).

Easy installation and safe wiring

In addition to thermal performance, Mit. D. has focused strongly on ease of installation. In all models, the power leads exit from one side of the heater only, greatly simplifying electrical connections and reducing space requirements.

To minimize the risk of installation errors, the leads can be supplied with:

• Uniform color coding and identification numbering for each zone
• Different colors for each zone, allowing immediate visual identification
